Poor Farm Park.

Fletch: 30" old, 3 turns. Goal: challenging turns. First turn in shallow ditch, second near shallow creek, third out in open, with subsequent leg in sparse cover with creasote bumpers parallel.

Lovely start, slightly cut corner at first turn--didn't go down into ditch but just picked track up and far side. Lovely mid article indication! Never even hesitated at turn at creek, did sit to take in the environment on that leg, restarted without interference from me and immediately hit a scent pad. Hooray! Nice LOS at last turn, couldn't find leg easily, he thought about sitting, then perhaps scented leg and pulled strongly down it. Got to SP, and then figured out how to track in latches of bare dirt. Ignored final article 🤷‍♀️, even as I shortened lead to limit options. Happily carried it back to the car.

Gusto: 2 hours. Goal: challenging veg turns. Lovely start, worked patchy area in front of bleachers well. First turn was between a building and a chain link fence, perfect LOS, searched carefully, committed nicely. Nice plastic article (hotel room key), nice restart, hammered the turn between chain link corner and woods, nice transition to gravel, nice painted metal article. Difficult transition to grass, never actually found that transition, but did find next leg while searching and good that, although not in his usual style. We will revisit this area another time!

Repeated Tuesday’s tracks in a different location in the fields, and with almost no wind. Totally different dog! I am not drawing any conclusions from this, except maybe he is now more comfortable i
