Just put a woods track in for Fletch, as I’m going to mimic MaryAnn’s 30 days of woods to see if Fletch can calm down a bit in the woods. Will video, which might be exciting with GoPro on. Later, will put a short track in for Gus. He’s not been tracking well, almost seems confused. He’s walked over articles, quit and come to sit next to me. He’s still excited to get out of the car and put his harness on, so we will persist just for fun. He will tell me what he wants to do, and I will listen.

OK. Just took a 6m34sec video of the top of my head. Perhaps I should pay attention to the location of the lens on the gopro. Regardless, ran Fletch’s woods track at 90”. 250 yards, 5 turns. Weak indications (but AN indication, so not all bad) on VST articles in woods. Strong start, excellent turns. I am stepping forward before he really digs in, so may be cuing. He found the end article which was placed on a tree stump! Worked hard, found it, picked it up and brought it to me. GOOD DOG. Very, very proud of himself.

He was a little slower and easier to follow this time.

Gusto started well, actually found the track in straw over new grass, didn’t seem to find it out into the parking lot (maybe, maybe not), overshot turn and searched grass, maybe made the turn, went directly over the article, and then actually did reasonably well on the last 2 legs. Double walked, sprayed, lots of food.

Rare event, tracked 2 days in a row. Was at Hanover HS/Oak Knoll MS for someone else….so decided to do a little “VST light” with Fletch. This was about 30” old. All NV was augmented with water. T

Repeated Tuesday’s tracks in a different location in the fields, and with almost no wind. Totally different dog! I am not drawing any conclusions from this, except maybe he is now more comfortable i

Sweet, talented Gus. I know the struggle you feel, the weight you are under. I am sorry.

Fletch has a momma so distracted she puts the GoPro on facing the wrong way! That struggle is real too AND you ain't alone!

Strong start, excellent turns, good work ethic. All good.

Now what can I do to help you get your indication to 100%?
