Into, out of, and bounce off…woods

2.5 hours old, Cloudy, occasional light mist, Not precipitating when run. He was awesome!

I need to make sure I let him move and commit before my feet move, and before I change direction. I’m actively training a second level of article indication—down then fetch/tug. My trainer brain says “new cue-old cue’ but my tracking brain says ‘reinforce the down with fun.’ We shall see. Ideally I’d like both….


I have come to appreciate its not his speed in the woods that intimidates me, it’s his strength. Good lord he’s strong!
