73 degrees, cloudy, humid. Tall wet grass. Holly Ridge, back field. TL:9:15, TR: 11:15.

Started at seam of short and tall grass, going into tall, with fence bending away from direction of first leg. First turn in the open, second at pasture fence, third turn in tall cover parallel to short cover next to fence, last turn at woods. There’s a bump in the last leg where I skirted huge spider wegs.

He waited in the car for 2 hours while it aged. He did well. Not quite as enthusiastic as usual, got a tiny bit distracted (for him). I turned to face the wrong direction at all turns, he fell for it at the first turn, and then was super confident about making a decision before really giving a LOS indication. Articles were good, down is a little slow. He took the bump around the spider webs, had to work out whether it went into the woods, he solved the problem and then took off like he was on fire, I suspect air scenting the glove (although he took the track to get there). Next track a little younger to add confidence back.
